The 2024-2025 season was unveiled as the Western Regional football association being lead by Chairman Simon Ehoma and his Executive Committee members organized it’s ordinary Congress at Tarkwa.

The Congress that has been a tradition has been a platform where accounts of the previous season is given and updates and inovations for the new season is revealed.

At the Congress was the Club officials and stakeholders of the football game in the region who gave their inputs steered in developing the game in the region.

Chairman Simon Ehoma in his opening remarks, commended the clubs and stakeholders for contributing their quota in the development of football in the region.

He congratulated Sekondi Eleven Wise for their qualification to the Division 1, FC Samartex for winning the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League, Hasaacas Ladies for winning the 2023-2024 Women’s Premier League, FC Samartex Ladies for qualifying to national women’s middle league even though they couldn’t qualify to the women’s premier League, Basake Holy Stars for qualifying to Ghana Premier and the Regional U17 team for winning the KGL tournament.

Chairman Simon Ehoma after carrying the offiating fee burden together with his EXCO members, have brought their work to an end as clubs will be paying for their own officiating fees for the 2024-2025 season.

He officially revealed the venue for the Middle League which will be the Tarkwa TNA Park.

The head of the Competition committee, Dr. Pearson also announced in his address the new changes for the season in which the days of game centers will be minimized as they will be reverting to the traditional home and away format.

He added by exciting the club officials and the stakeholders of the game about most of the games which will be telecasted live on television by Takoradi based TV station, New Day TV.

The Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Alexander Sakyi Asante graced the occasion as he commended Chairman Simon Ehoma and his Executive Committee members and gave a message on behalf of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku.
